Commercial Property Solicitor

Southwest Local Authority
Rate: £50-£60 per hour - Negotiable DOE
Contract: 3-6 months - with view to extend

Remote Working - occasional office attendance required

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Property Solicitor on behalf of a local authority in the southwest region. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of one of the UK's most forward-thinking cities, providing legal support for a wide range of impactful property transactions. The successful candidate will work on a complex and high-profile commercial property caseload, spanning the full range of property matters, including leases, acquisitions, disposals, overage, and development agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a varied caseload of complex commercial property matters.
Draft, negotiate and advise on property agreements and transactions.
Represent the Council in negotiations, committees, panels, and tribunals.
Assist with mentoring and supervising junior legal staff.

Key Requirements

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX with the ability to deliver high-quality legal services in a fast-paced local authority environment.
Demonstrable experience in handling complex property legal issues.
Knowledge of commercial property and local government law
Experience supporting and mentoring junior staff
