Project Manager - Structural & Architectural Steelwork
Location: Bedford
Salary: £55,000 to £60,000
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

I'm working with a leading steelwork contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. The company specialises in the delivery of both structural and architectural steelwork projects across commercial and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' project management experience within the steelwork industry and a solid understanding of both fabrication and installation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage projects from initial handover to final completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.

*

Coordinate with internal teams including design, fabrication, and site installation.

*

Attend client and site meetings, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Manage subcontractors and suppliers to maintain quality and schedule.

*

Prepare and update project programmes and progress reports.

*

Monitor health & safety, ensuring all work is carried out in line with company and legal standards.

*

Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve any issues that arise.

*

Liaise with commercial and quantity surveying teams to manage project costs and variations.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience managing steelwork projects (structural and architectural).

*

At least 5 years of Project Management experience in the construction or steelwork sector.

*

Strong understanding of fabrication and installation practices.

*

Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

*

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

*

Full UK driving licence.
