About the Opportunity
Astro Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Cheshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking for flexible work in local schools. Whether you are experienced in education or come from a background such as sports coaching, youth work or care, we would love to hear from you.
What you will need to succeed:
Secondary Schools across Cheshire are searching for confident, adaptable and enthusiastic individuals with relevant experience or transferable skills. Perhaps you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, Social Worker, Sports Coach, Care Worker or Youth Worker looking for your dream role. A teacher looking for more flexibility with less responsibility, Semi-retired but still wishing to make a difference! What ever your reason might be Astro Education can help, support and guide you.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervising classes during teacher absences
• Delivering pre-set lesson materials
• Managing classroom behaviour
• Supporting students with their learning
• Ensuring a safe and positive classroom environment
Required Experience:
* Have relevant experience
* Enthusiastic and passionate
* Be flexible, patient and adaptable
* Be able to communicate effectively within a team
* Open to/ or have experience of working with a variety of SEN.
* Be able to work core school hours.
