A Headteacher of a secondary school in Preston is seeking a Site Supervisor/Caretaker for an ASAP start. This school strives to make a positive difference to the lives of their young people, parents, staff and our local community.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous site, caretaking, or maintenance experience who is available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with unlocking and securing the school site
* Supporting with locking up at the end of the day
* Carrying out general site assistant duties
* Basic maintenance and minor repairs
* Supporting with health and safety checks
* Ensuring the premises remain clean, safe, and well-maintained
* Assisting with contractor access and supervision where required
* Providing general support to senior school staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience in a school caretaking, site assistant, or facilities role (desirable)
* Basic maintenance and DIY skills
* A flexible and proactive approach
* Good communication skills
* The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
* Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
* Availability for an immediate start
* Flexibility around working hours between 7:00am - 6:00pm
