Packing Line Operative - £12.62ph - Temp to Perm - Outskirts of Colchester

We are currently recruiting for a Production Line Worker on behalf of a well-established and fast-growing company based on the outskirts of Colchester. Specialising in the production of food-based goods, this company is offering a long-term opportunity with excellent career prospects.

Job Overview:
This is a temp-to-perm role suited to individuals seeking stable, long-term employment. Experience is not essential-what matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to work as part of a busy production team.

Due to the rural location and lack of public transport, having your own transport is essential.

Duties of the Packing Line Operative will include:

Working on various stages of the production line, including loading, checking, and packing

Inspecting and grading raw materials

Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness

Following legal and company food hygiene regulations

Final packing and stacking of products

Carrying out any reasonable tasks requested by supervisors or management

Ideal Packing Line Operative Candidate Profile:

Previous experience in a manufacturing and production or an FMCG environment is desirable

Flexible and reliable with a good work ethic

Able to work weekends and weekdays in line with the shift pattern

Good communication skills and a strong eye for detail

Local to Colchester with own transport

Willing and able to work overtime when required

Working Hours & Pay:

4 on, 4 off day shifts (7:00am - 6:00pm), including weekends

£12.62 per hour

Overtime available at enhanced rates

Free on-site parking
