Wiring Technician 

Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £40,000-£42,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30-16:00 | Friday: 7:30-13:00
Contract: 6 months.

An established and growing engineering organisation is seeking a skilled Wiring Technician to join its production team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in control panel and cabinet wiring.

Key Responsibilities

Build and wire control panels, cabinets, and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings and schematics

Cut, ident, lace, loom, and prepare electrical wiring and cabling to high standards

Fabricate and test cable and mechanical assemblies

Operate specialist tools and adhere to health and safety procedures

Support stock control and general production tasks as needed

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in control panel and cabinet wiring

Strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schedules

Familiarity with MOD Naval standards

Able to work effectively under minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines

Quality-focused with a team-oriented mindset
