Nestled in the quiet village of Ashgill, Ashlea Court is a beautifully designed care home offering Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 86 residents. With bright, modern interiors and a strong sense of community, our home provides a truly supportive setting where both residents and staff can thrive.

We are currently looking for a kind, reliable, and enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our day shift team and make a meaningful difference every single day.

What We Offer

  • £12.70 per hour
  • 35 hours per week (3 shifts one week, 4 the next)
  • 8.00 am - 8.00 pm day shifts
  • Paid PVG, pension scheme, free uniform, and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full-time)

Your Role
As a Day Care Assistant at Ashlea Court, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents with daily routines, personal care, meals, and activities. You will build positive relationships and help create a warm, relaxed, and safe environment where every resident feels valued and respected.

Whether you are new to care or bring previous experience, you will be supported from day one with a full induction, shadowing, and development tailored to your goals.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum Level 2 SVQ in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards this)
  • A genuine passion for caring for others
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork
  • Empathy, patience, and respect in everything you do
