About the Role:

We're recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer of special purpose machinery and automation systems.

With record sales and a strong order book, the business is going through an exciting period of growth. You'll be part of a close-knit design team working on bespoke projects from concept through to commissioning, with exposure to the full project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Designing and developing bespoke machinery solutions.

* Producing detailed 2D & 3D CAD models, drawings, and assemblies.

* Supporting manufacturing and assembly teams with technical input.

* Conducting calculations, analysis, and FEA to validate designs.

* Ensuring designs meet industry standards (including GD&T).

* Involvement in R&D and new product development projects.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in machinery, automation, or special purpose equipment.

* Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD + 3D CAD such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Siemens NX).

* Knowledge of mechanical calculations, FEA, and GD&T.

* A problem solver with strong communication and teamwork skills.
