Hill McGlynn Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and respected Main Contractor working on residential developments based in Newhaven. With a strong pipeline of developments across Kent and the surrounding areas, this business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality housing schemes from concept to completion.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to join their development team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of new build housing projects, contributing to the company's long-term success.

The Role:

*

Full commercial management of residential projects from pre-construction through to final account.

*

Cost planning, budget control, and financial reporting.

*

Procurement of subcontractors and materials.

*

Monitoring and managing variations, valuations, and risk.

*

Working closely with the construction, technical, and sales teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Ideal Candidate:

*

Solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Construction / residential development or housebuilding.

*

Sound understanding of the residential construction process and JCT contracts.

*

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

*

Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
