About the team:

FIS UK have HR Offices in Birmingham, Watford, Canary Wharf and Cumbernauld. We are currently seeking a HR professional to be based from our Office in Birmingham (with weekly travel to our Watford Office), reporting into the Regional People Lead for Birmingham.

HR Business Partners sit within the People Direct Team who are supported by Centres of Excellence, namely payroll, operations, talent acquisition, benefits and talent management.

What you will be doing:

As a HR Business Partner, you will work strategically with senior business leaders of their dedicated client group and be the primary HR contact for employees based in the UK for their client group.


* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior management in the designated business areas, promoting good HR practices.

* Work alongside business managers and Talent COE to develop effective people and talent strategies in order to achieve business goals

* Proactively identify, initiate and lead projects to drive employee engagement, retention and performance.

* Partner and coach line managers on employee relations, in particular disciplinary and grievance investigations and formal meetings

* Partner with business managers on implementing change through organisational restructures, including selection process, at risk conversations, consultation and settlement negotiations

* Provide information, advice and guidance to employees on company policies, procedures and benefits.

* Work with the business and appropriate COE on performance management, mobility, salary review and bonus plan processes, deliver training as required.

* Proactively work with colleagues in the HR community across Europe and Globally to develop and drive HR initiatives, working on specific projects as required.

* Assist with due diligence for potential acquisitions and the integration of employees into FIS following acquisitions

What you bring:


Proven HR generalist experience in a fast moving, dynamic, corporate environment


Strong employee relations experience including negotiations


Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices with a solid track record in managing/advising on sensitive legal issues as well as considering the impact of new legislation and devising new HR policies and procedures


Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills - credible at senior level and able to challenge the status quo


Strong user skills of HR systems and Microsoft office programs


Ability to work under pressure and comfortable with ambiguity

Added bonus if you have:


Proven experience at HRBP / HR Manager Level


A Bachelor's degree in a related field or CIPD Level 5, or working towards
