REED Social Care are recruiting for a Deputy for Children's home based in Tower Hamlets. This is a residential home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties aged 11-17.
Deputy Manager (Children’s Homes) - Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 plus tax free bonus twice a year after 1 year of service. (up to £3,600 per annum)

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager for a Children's Home, responsible for supporting the Registered Manager in safeguarding and promoting the welfare and development of the children. This role requires a motivated individual with a background in residential childcare and leadership, ready to make a significant impact in the lives of children and young people.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Safeguarding: Lead on safeguarding matters, ensuring the welfare and development of the children are prioritized. Notify relevant personnel about any concerns and represent the service at external meetings.
- Quality and Compliance: Support compliance with company policies and OFSTED regulations. Oversee the development and implementation of children’s care plans and ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Leadership and Management: Manage and lead shifts, ensuring children are safe and engaged. Develop and coach team members, ensuring all staff training and development needs are met.
- Children and Young People’s Outcomes: Ensure children's needs are met, including their education, social opportunities, and personal interests. Lead on maintaining relationships with external agencies and families.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the home’s budget and control expenditure.
- Organisational Duties: Work in accordance with therapeutic plans and ensure all staff receive regular support and supervision.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 3 years in residential childcare with leadership responsibilities.
- Education: Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent. Level 5 Leadership and Management is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, IT literacy, and ability to work therapeutically with children.
- Personal Qualities: Commitment to professional development, calm and adaptable, non-judgemental, and able to handle multiple responsibilities.

Special Conditions: - Shift Work: This role requires working early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as part of a rota system. On-call duties may also be required.
