Cedar is working with a rapidly scaling, private equity-backed property business, delivering strong growth through a combination of strategic investment and operational excellence. Following the recent insourcing of our statutory reporting function, they are now expanding their Group Finance team and are seeking a talented Financial Reporting Accountant to play a key role in this next phase.
This is a newly created position designed to strengthen and expand the Group's reporting capability. You will support the end-to-end statutory reporting process under IFRS and FRS 101, contribute to consolidations, and play a central role in managing the annual external audit.
This is a high-impact role in a complex, multi-entity environment, offering direct exposure to senior leadership and investors, who take a close interest in audit outcomes and reporting quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end statutory accounts production including mapping, tagging, and final review
- Assist with Group consolidation, ensuring accurate eliminations and timely quarterly reporting
- Maintain and update Group accounting policies in line with IFRS and FRS 101
- Prepare technical accounting papers (e.g. leases, revenue, impairment, financial instruments, business combinations, going concern)
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of the annual audit across
- Strengthen financial control frameworks across key areas (revenue, leases, capex, intercompany, balance sheet)
- Ensure robust, reliable, and compliant financial reporting processes
- Identify and implement improvements across statutory reporting, consolidation, and audit processes
Qualifications
- ACA / ACCA qualified with at least 3 years' post-qualified experience
- Background in external audit (Top 10 firm preferred)
- Experience in a similar role within a property group.
