Responsibilities of this role:
- Provide leadership, motivation, and professional supervision to social workers and other MASH staff, ensuring staff are supported to perform their roles effectively.
- Oversee the screening, analysis, and decision-making process for contacts and referrals received by the MASH, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.
- Facilitate the sharing of information between partner agencies (such as police, schools, and health services) to identify risks and assess needs early.
- Ensure that the MASH operates to high-quality standards, that risk is reduced, and that strengths are built upon to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Drive performance, delegate tasks, and ensure that the team's performance and decision-making are timely and effective.
- Provide clear advice and guidance on immediate casework issues and participate in discussions to ensure high-quality assessments and analysis are conducted.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have experience as Social Work Team Manager
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ Post Qualifying experience
