Design & Technology (DT) Teacher - SEN School Location: New Malden Contract: Full-time, Long,Term and Perm Start Date: September 2025 Salary: M1 - M6

Our school is a specialist independent day school for children aged 3-19 with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). Our nurturing environment and integrated therapeutic approach empower students to thrive both academically and personally.

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to teach in a supportive, innovative setting where small class sizes and a strong team ethos enable you to make a real difference.

What You'll Do:

Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Inspire creativity and practical problem-solving in a range of disciplines (e.g., resistant materials, product design, or textiles).

Work closely with therapists, teaching assistants, and SEN professionals to support holistic learning.

Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and confidence.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Experience teaching DT at Key Stage 3 and/or 4 (experience with SEN/SLCN desirable but not essential).

A creative and adaptive teaching style with a passion for hands-on learning.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
