Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all Year 2 pupils, ensuring a focus on both academic and personal development.

Use a range of assessment methods to monitor pupil progress, ensuring clear and consistent feedback for students and their families.

Create a supportive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and self-confidence.

Work closely with colleagues to ensure the continuity and progression of the curriculum, actively contributing to planning and sharing best practices.

Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on pupil progress and offering guidance for home learning.

Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that enrich the pupils' educational experience.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.

Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.

Proven experience in assessing and tracking pupil progress, with the ability to use this data to inform future teaching strategies.

Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively within the school community.

A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards professional development, with a passion for education and continuous improvement.
