Bus and Coach Mechanic (Nightshifts )

Location Aberdeen Scotland

Shift Pattern: 22.00 to 6am -40 hour week

5 Nights per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician or Bus Mechanics to join a well-established engineering team based at the Aberdeen depot . This role involves maintaining and repairing a modern and varied fleet of buses and coaches, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance

Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and repair mechanical/electrical systems

*

Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing

*

Attend roadside breakdowns and carry out effective repairs

*

Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and company safety standards

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Bus Mechanic / PSV Engineer

*

NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

*

IRTEC accreditation (desirable)

*

Experience working on buses, coaches, or HGVs

*

Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence advantageous)

*

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
