Energy Consultant (Mid-Market / New Business Focus)

UK Wide | £45,000 - £60,000 + Uncapped Commission

We're supporting an established, award-winning energy and sustainability consultancy to appoint an experienced Energy Consultant to drive new business growth across mid-market and multi-site clients.

This is a consultative, client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships from scratch, is comfortable with proactive outreach, and can operate credibly with senior stakeholders.

The Role

This is a new business-led position, where you'll take ownership of building your own pipeline while also managing and converting qualified opportunities.

Working across SMEs, multi-site organisations, and public sector clients, you'll support businesses with energy procurement, compliance, and sustainability strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new business through cold calling, outreach, networking, and referrals
Build and manage a consistent pipeline of mid-market and multi-site clients
Lead structured, value-led conversations with senior decision-makers
Develop long-term client relationships and manage ongoing accounts
Convert inbound and qualified leads alongside self-generated opportunities
Advise on procurement strategy, contract structures, and risk management
Support clients with compliance, cost optimisation, and sustainability initiativesRequirements

Proven B2B sales experience within a consultative environment
Strong track record of winning new business through proactive outreach
Experience managing both self-generated pipeline and inbound opportunities
Exposure to mid-market, multi-site, or public sector clients is advantageous
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders in a professional manner
Relationship-led, commercially aware, and focused on long-term value
