Production / Operations Manager - Bakery

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Production / Operations Manager to join a growing bakery operation based in Mid Glamorgan.
This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced food production environment, requiring someone who can bring structure, lead from the front, and support continued growth.
The Role
This is not an office-based management position. You will be a visible leader on the shop floor, working closely with teams to drive performance, improve processes, and build a strong, engaged workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
·Leading day-to-day bakery production operations
·Developing and supporting production teams
·Driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and output
·Implementing structure, processes, and best practices
·Leading change and continuous improvement initiatives
·Ensuring a positive, high-performance culture on site
What We're Looking For
·Proven experience as a Production or Operations Manager
·Strong background in food manufacturing or bakery production (preferred)
·Hands-on leadership style with a strong shop floor presence
·Experience working in growing or evolving environments
·Ability to build trust, influence positively, and bring teams with you
·Flexible and adaptable approach to meet business needs
·Ideally based within commuting distance of Mid Glamorgan / South Wales
