Role - Senior Design Engineer
Location - Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours - Monday to Friday - Full time hours
Capacity of role - Permanent position
Salary - Up to £50,000 per annum

Our client is a leading manufacturer who is currently seeking an additional to their Design team with an Experienced/Senior design engineer.
Applicants will need to be proficient with 3D and 2D industrial modelling ideally in a senior based position.

Main duties will include but not limit to -
 Overseeing design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer specifications
 Developing and optimising engineering solutions, including detailed calculations, reports and sketches
 Coaching and mentoring junior engineers, fostering their professional development and ensuring alignment and integration of design efforts.
 Ensuring all design comply with relevant regulatory standards and internal quality requirements
 Participate in quality improvements processes and lean manufacturing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Candidate attributes -
• 3D modelling & 2D drawings with Autodesk Inventor
• Mechanical design experience (5+ years ideally)
• Experience designing equipment for fabrication using steel
• Occasional visits to sites for site surveys & client meetings
• Experience in finite element analysis
