Steele Charles is working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected UK rotary aviation specialist to recruit a B1.4 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join their professional maintenance team based in Gloucestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer to join a supportive and collaborative environment, working with a company recognised for delivering top-tier maintenance services across piston-engine helicopter platforms.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

*

Certify maintenance tasks on piston-engine aircraft in accordance with company authorisations and UK CAA regulations

*

Carry out line and base maintenance, inspections, and defect rectification both on-site and off-site when needed

*

Ensure all maintenance work meets regulatory, safety, and documentation standards

*

Maintain accurate and timely records of all work performed

*

Supervise and support unlicensed engineers and maintenance staff as required

*

Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient operational delivery

*

Assist with internal audits and quality assurance procedures

*

Use Microsoft-based IT systems for maintenance tracking and reporting

*

Stay up to date with CPD requirements in line with company and CAA expectations

✅ Candidate Requirements:

*

Valid UK CAA Part 66 B1.4 Licence

*

Recent hands-on experience with piston-engine aircraft (e.g. Robinson R22/R44, Bell 206, Cessna, Piper)

*

Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and regulatory compliance

*

Ability to interpret technical manuals, data, and work schedules

*

Excellent attention to detail and safety-first mindset

*

Full right to live and work in the UK

*

Full UK driving licence (preferred for off-site support)
