Abatec is recruiting for a freelance Site Agent to join a specialist earthworks contractor on a long-term, major civil engineering project in Portsmouth.

The successful candidate will have a previous background in civil engineering and earthworks.

As a Site Agent, you will:

* Oversee the day-to-day site activities, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.

* Support and drive continuous improvement within the project delivery team.

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

* Work closely with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.

* Monitor project progress, managing budgets and schedules effectively.

* Identify and mitigate risks to avoid project delays and cost overruns.

* Lead site teams and foster a positive, safety-focused working environment.

Our client requires a Site Agent with:

* Valid CSCS

* SMSTS

* A good understating of health & safety protocols

* Excellent communication skills

* A background in civil engineering

Salary and benefits include:

* £400 - £450 CIS Umbrella
