Salary: £20800 - £25300/annum permanent

We are looking for an Planning Assistant to work within our Head Office in Wembley, assiting in the delivery of services on a large rail framework.

As a Planning Assistant you will…

- Assist the Delivery Unit Planning team as directed.

- Assist in the production of the Delivery Unit Period Possession Plan and resource schedules.

- Submit and process a variety of Programmes and Resource Planning requests in compliance with agreed

processes and procedures.

- Accurately input, update and maintain relevant planning systems and records as required.

- Assist in the coordination and optimisation of all resources for efficient maintenance delivery.

- Provide effective support to plan changes and emergency works.

- Liaise with external and internal contacts across functions in relation to the planning requests.

- Assist in the preparation of reports as required.

- Booking of training, medicals and D&As as required

- Ordering of PPE.

Technical Competency Skills… Essential (E)

- Ability to work well in a team, with all members of the company and alone E

- Fulfil time keeping and attendance expectations

- Confident in presenting ideas

- Possess good interpersonal skills

- Ability to liaise with all levels of the business

- Basic skills on Outlook, Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel

Qualifications and Certifications Essential (E)

- Minimum GCSE English C grade or equivalent (Good verbal and written communication

skills) E

- Minimum GCSE Maths C grade or equivalent (Good numeracy skills) E

- Have good interpersonal communication (verbal, written and listening) skills, that will support the delivery of your duties and able to clearly explain tasks and inspire others with varying backgrounds

- Have high standards of attention to detail in all aspects of your work

- Show initiative and know when to escalate issues for Supervisor/ Management support.

- Be a team player with regards to sharing information, helping to resolve a problem, working towards common goals, properly dividing tasks between team members, etc.

Working hours are 08:00 to 17:30 plus pension, private healthcare and holiday.
