Design / Technical Manager Role – (RC Frame Resi Experience)

Overview:

Manage and coordinate design delivery across new-build RC frame residential schemes, main contracting works, JVs, recladding projects, and other varied developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design management for £20mil - £50m+ RC frame resi developments.
• Oversee novation of consultants at Stage 3 for JV projects.
• Advise during early design phases; manage from Stage 3 onwards.
• BSR Gateway 2 submissions.
• Appoint/manage architects, structural & façade engineers.
• Collaborate with in-house façade design team for specialist packages.
• Ensure compliance with Building Safety Act, CDM, and planning conditions.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, and design changes.
• Oversee construction drawings, specs, and technical documentation.
• Maintain design programmes, risks, and deliverables.
• Promote buildable, cost-effective, and safe design solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong RC frame residential experience.
• Proven track record in design/technical management for residential projects
• Excellent coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
