Senior Sustainability Consultant

I am currently supporting a leading multidisciplinary design practice in their search for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join their expanding environmental team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on complex, high-profile projects and enjoys working collaboratively across diverse sectors including workplace, healthcare, education, heritage, leisure and residential.

You'll be joining a dynamic sustainability function involved in strategies, net-zero frameworks, lifecycle assessments, wellbeing standards, post-occupancy evaluations and ESG consultancy. The role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful, evidence-based solutions that influence planning, design and construction outcomes.

Essential Criteria

Formal qualification in sustainability, environmental management or a built-environment discipline

Proven experience delivering sustainability consultancy within the built environment

Strong working knowledge of UK environmental and sustainability legislation

Experience delivering BREEAM assessments

Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical report writing

Confident presenting to internal and external stakeholders

Experience with LEED, Ska or WELL assessments

Competence using lifecycle assessment tools such as OneClick LCA

Ability to manage multiple workstreams and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Desirable Criteria

Experience conducting circularity assessments

Knowledge of NABERS or post-occupancy evaluation methodologies

Broader understanding of ESG consultancy

Demonstrated interest in emerging sustainability themes and industry innovation
