We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a dynamic manufacturing environment, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This is a hands-on role, splitting time equally between accounting and controlling, providing a unique opportunity to influence financial decision-making and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and report on job costing weekly and monthly, including variance analysis.

*

Assist in preparation of management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and year-end submissions.

*

Manage sales, purchase, and cash book ledgers, ensuring timely reconciliations and query resolution.

*

Process supplier payments, materials and overhead invoices, and monitor cash flow.

*

Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.

*

Manage payroll payment processing and month-end balance sheet reconciliations.

*

Routine credit control and monitoring of customer payment applications.

*

Support sustainability reporting initiatives through accurate invoice reporting.

Essential Skills & Experience:

*

Management accounting experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

*

Strong practical experience in job costing and controlling functions.

*

Experience in a group reporting environment with strict deadlines.

*

High attention to detail with excellent analytical and organisational skills.

*

Proficient in financial management software, databases, and spreadsheets; experience with SAGE 200 or similar ERP systems preferred.

*

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

*

Part-Qualified CIMA (management level or above), or equivalent accounting qualification.

*

AAT qualified.

*

5 GCSEs (A-C) including Mathematics and English.
