We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Accountant to join our client on a 6-month interim basis. The primary focus of this role is to review, streamline, and improve the VAT return process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.Key Responsibilities:

• Review and enhance existing VAT return processes across the business
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and controls
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely VAT returns
• Ensure compliance with relevant VAT regulations and internal policies
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to improve data quality and reporting
• Support audits and respond to VAT-related queries from tax authorities
• Document processes and provide recommendations for long-term improvements

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in indirect tax/VAT accounting
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance
• Experience in process improvement and systems optimisation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
