We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in the heart of Telford, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to making a real difference, particularly to children who need additional support to thrive.

-A vibrant and diverse two-form entry primary school, rated “Good” by Ofsted.

-The school has a warm and nurturing ethos with a strong emphasis on emotional well-being and community values.

-Proud of its inclusive approach, with a well-established SEND provision supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

-Classrooms are well-equipped, and the staff team benefits from experienced SENCO leadership and access to regular CPD and external specialist input.

Role Responsibilities:

-Support the class teacher in delivering tailored, inclusive learning activities.

-Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils, including those with SEND.

-Implement strategies to support children's emotional regulation, social skills, and academic progress.

-Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals where required.

-Help maintain a safe and stimulating environment that encourages learning for all pupils.

Requirment

-Previous experience working with children, ideally within an educational setting.

-Experience or interest in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

-Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.

-Strong communication and teamwork skills.

-Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA, CACHE) are desirable but not essential.

-An enhanced DBS on the Update Service
