Salary: £60,000 - £750,000 per annum, OTE

Our client is looking to recruit a Registered Manager based in Greenwich, South East London. You will manage our 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children’s home, ensuring high-quality care and compliance.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the children’s home in line with the organisation’s ethos, delivering positive outcomes and high-quality care as outlined in the home’s Statement of Purpose. The Residential Manager will have overall responsibility for the home and its staff, ensuring children receive a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.

Service Description

Managing the residential home on a day-to-day basis, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, safeguarding requirements, and contractual obligations. The Residential Manager will:

  • Oversee the welfare, emotional, psychological, and social development of children with EBD.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent care.
  • Ensure care plans, EHCPs, and transition plans are effectively implemented.
  • Maintain strong relationships with families, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote continuous improvement, quality assurance, and Ofsted compliance.
Person Specification

Qualifications and Education

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services, or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working with children in the last 5 years, with at least 4 year in a senior or managerial role.
  • Experience supervising or managing staff teams.
  • Experience in a residential care setting for children with EBD.
  • Proven ability to work with children, young people, and their families.
  • Experience in multi-agency collaboration.
