We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for food preparation and kitchen operations. Applicants must have the right to work full-time in the UK and should be local to St Albans.
Day-to-day of the role: - Assist in the preparation of all menu items under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Support the kitchen team in stocking and organising supplies.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by the head chef.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory and record food temperatures to ensure freshness and quality.
- Participate in regular training sessions to improve skills and adhere to industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen preparation and related work.
- Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must live locally to St Albans.
- Must have the right to work full-time in the UK.
