The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Sheffield area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.

Shifts: Shifts across Monday to Sunday (weekends included on a rota basis)

Hours: Days and nights

Pay Rate:

* Class 1 Days - £15.50 per hour PAYE

* Class 1 Nights - £15.50 per hour PAYE

Location: Sheffield, S25

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

* Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance, weekends included and required

* Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units (either working on bulk collections/deliveries or trunking)

* Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.

* Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.

* Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

* Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).

* Minimum of 6 months experience required.

* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

* Full understanding of WTD legislation.

* Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.

* Excellent communication skills.

* A safety-first mindset.
