Audit & Accounts Senior– Practice | Chesterfield

A well-established, multi-disciplinary professional services firm is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join its growing team. With a strong regional presence and a broad client base, they offer a full range of services including accountancy, financial advisory, and corporate support.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with senior leadership, supporting the delivery of high-quality services across both audit and accounting. This is a hands on role with responsibility for managing assignments from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting in the full cycle of audit assignments from start to finish
• Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for a range of clients
• Managing a mixed portfolio of audit and accountancy clients
• Reviewing work and ensuring compliance with technical standards
• Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members
• Building strong client relationships and maintaining high service standards

You will need to be:

• A proactive and motivated individual who enjoys working across both audit and accounts and is confident managing workloads and deadlines.
• Qualified or working towards ACA or ACCA qualification
• From an Accountancy Practice background with at least 3+ years’ experience (audit & accounts)
• Strong attention to detail and technical knowledge
• Extremely organised with excellent attention to detail
• A confident communicator
• A collaborative and forward-thinking individual
