Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded children's care provider seeking a Deputy Manager for a 3-bed EBD children's home in Burton-on-Trent. The home is Ofsted-rated 'Good' and provides a stable, therapeutic environment for children and young people aged 8-17.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker or current Deputy Manager looking to join a settled team and a well-run home with a strong emphasis on child-centred care and continuous improvement.

• Support the Registered Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the home

• Lead by example and promote a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment

• Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to support staff

• Contribute to care planning, behaviour management strategies, and safeguarding

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks

• Participate in on-call duties and assist with rota management and shift coordination

• Actively promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children in your care

Essential:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

• Working knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards

• Strong safeguarding awareness and ability to lead a team effectively

• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Experience in a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker role

• Therapeutic or trauma-informed care experience

• Willingness to complete Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

• Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
