Atlanta Bookshelves is looking for a qualified shop manager to bring on as a team member in our growing, well-equipped cabinetry shop in Jonesboro, Ga. Each project is completely unique, and our work is always challenging and interesting. We manufacture custom built-in bookshelves, entertainment centers, closets, mudroom seating and storage for the high-end housing market.
Ability to read shop drawings and on-site dimensions to foresee any potential issues and correct before production begins.
Read shop drawings and cut plywood sheets according to plans provided.
Read shop drawings to build up case.
Full working knowledge and operation of a sliding table saw.
Create face frame list from drawings provided. Cut out list using table saw, miter saw and planer to specification. Use pocket hole machine and assemble face frames.
Monitor quality standards to continually ensure standards are being met
Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Work directly with project manager to answer questions concerning each build.
Direct shop assistants to perform task to complete job and development of employees toward higher levels of individual and group performance.
Forecast production requirements and maintaining necessary inventory levels.
Operate, repair and perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
Work with other managers and team members to promote a team environment.
Must be detail oriented and well organized.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Android operating platform. Sketchup knowledge a +
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet project installation dates.
Work quickly and efficiently to meet the high quality demanded by customers and teams
