Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Kintore, Aberdeenshire | Permanent | £56,300 - £75,000 per annum

Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30 | Fri 08:00-15:15

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading global engineering team at their site in Kintore. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of complex projects across the full product lifecycle, from proposal through to completion, working within the Wireline Systems and Wellhead Pressure Control Equipment division.

As a key part of this high-performing team, you will be instrumental in designing innovative hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems using CAE tools. You'll bring both your technical expertise and commercial insight to ensure cutting-edge, cost-effective solutions for global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the design and development of bespoke electrical solutions tailored to customer requirements.

* Use advanced CAE tools to design and validate systems in line with project objectives.

* Generate accurate technical documentation, cost estimates, and compliance reports.

* Provide cross-functional support across global teams, including on-site installation, client meetings, and troubleshooting.

* Ensure project delivery meets both client expectations and internal KPIs for quality, budget, and timelines.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

* Proven background in electrical design within oil & gas, energy, or a related engineering sector.

* Proficiency in CAE software and engineering documentation standards.

* Solid knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.

Desirable:

* Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical systems.

* Familiarity with design for manufacturability and modern manufacturing techniques.

* Previous experience working with global, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
