ServiceNow Developer
UK (Hybrid) | Permanent | c. £80,000 Per Annum
A leading global organisation is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their internal technology team and take ownership of their ServiceNow platform. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on maintaining, optimising, and evolving the platform using modern DevOps and automation practices.
You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, security, architecture, and operations teams to ensure the platform is reliable, secure, and scalable-supporting the wider business with smart, efficient technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploying, managing, and maintaining ServiceNow environments across dev and prod tiers
- Proactively monitoring systems for performance, cost, and stability improvements
- Automating manual tasks and contributing to a DevOps and SRE-focused culture
- Troubleshooting and resolving cross-platform technical issues
- Maintaining clear platform documentation and sharing knowledge internally
- Supporting integrations, customisations, and administration of ServiceNow
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years' experience working with ServiceNow infrastructure at scale
- Experience with ServiceNow platform architecture, configuration, and Scripting
- Solid grasp of DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices
- Comfortable working in regulated environments (SOC, ISO27001, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to solving technical problems
Bonus experience:
- JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, Business Rules, ACLs, MID Servers
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Azure networking & IaaS/PaaS tools
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and platform monitoring tools
- Understanding of third-party integrations (Kafka, Skytap, etc.)
