Health and Safety Manager - Structural Steel

About the Role
They are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to oversee health and safety across structural steel projects nationwide. This hands-on, site-based role involves regular travel to sites and requires a solid background in health and safety within the structural steel or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks; review method statements and risk assessments
Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Provide clear health and safety guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and project managers
Requirements
Black CSCS card (essential)
Extensive experience in health and safety roles on construction sites
Proven background in structural steel
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification (preferred)
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations
Excellent communication skills with the ability to promote a positive safety culture
Flexibility to travel regularly to sites across the UK
