A supportive mainstream primary school in Blackburn is seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision for the summer term. This role involves working within a dedicated SEND unit that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, offering tailored interventions and structured support. A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is required.

What the role involves

Supporting pupils within a specialist SEND provision

Delivering targeted interventions and personalised support

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Helping to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment

Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development

What the school is looking for

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (minimum)

Experience supporting pupils with SEND

A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills
