Velox Social Care is currently recruiting Children & Young People (CYP) Support Workers in the North Devon area (EX39) to provide high-quality, person-centred care within residential and community-based settings.

Your Role

As a CYP Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing emotional, social, and practical support to children and young people
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence
• Supporting young people with daily routines and activities
• Maintaining accurate daily records, reports, and handovers
• Communicating effectively with colleagues, management, and external professionals
• Working a variety of shifts, including long days, sleep-ins, nights, weekends, and short shifts depending on the needs of the young person

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• The Right to Work in the UK (Unfortunately we cannot offer sponsorship)
• Minimum 6 months UK experience working with Children & Young People in a similar setting
• Three references (two professional and one character reference)
• A valid Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Physical Intervention training (such as Team Teach Level 2) or willingness to complete the training
• A full UK driving licence is highly desirable, as transport shifts are regularly available in the area
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and nights
