Are you an experienced credit controller looking for a new challenge? We are hiring for a dynamic credit control team within Taunton to help achieve their cash collection and aged debt targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cash Collection & Debt Management: Achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets. Manage the collection of all debts in line with agreed credit terms.

- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues, both internal and external, affecting debt collection.

- Teamwork: Motivate a team of two credit controllers, setting challenging targets and ensuring high performance.

- Relationship Building: Communicate effectively with clients and operational teams, building and maintaining strong relationships.

- Reporting: Monitor aged debt, prepare reports, and escalate issues as needed. Update and send client-specific debt packs.

- Decision-Making: Make informed decisions on fees, additional costs, and scoping issues. Exercise judgement on case escalation and client negotiations.

Skills & Competencies:

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to handle difficult cases.

- Leadership: Experience in team management and motivation.

- Analytical: Ability to analyse data and develop strategies to minimise debt.
