An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Class Teacher to join a well-regarded and forward-thinking primary school in Nottinghamshire, commencing September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position suited to an experienced practitioner or an exceptional Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong passion for Key Stage 1 education.

Role Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver and assess high-quality, engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 1 pupils in line with the National Curriculum.

Foster a positive, stimulating learning environment that supports both academic and personal development.

Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and track pupil progress.

*

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

*

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, training and extracurricular activities.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - required.

*

Strong knowledge of Key Stage 1 curriculum and early learning pedagogy.

*

Proven ability to create a nurturing, inclusive and high-achieving classroom culture.

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

*

Passion for teaching and commitment to the development of all children.

*

High expectations of yourself and your pupils.
