A well-established and highly successful food manufacturing business supplying major UK retailers is seeking an experienced Night Hygiene Manager to take ownership of hygiene standards across a large, fast-paced production facility.

This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the factory is returned to audit-ready condition every morning, maintaining the highest standards of food safety, compliance and operational discipline.

Working closely with Technical, Production and Engineering teams, you will lead the hygiene operation across the night shift, ensuring cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures and compliance standards are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and develop the night hygiene team, ensuring clear structure, accountability and performance management

* Ensure the site consistently meets BRCGS, retailer and internal food safety standards

* Manage and implement hygiene schedules, sanitation processes and deep cleaning programmes

* Conduct regular hygiene inspections and verification checks across production areas

* Drive a strong food safety and hygiene culture across the factory

* Investigate hygiene-related non-conformances and implement corrective actions

* Work closely with Technical and Production teams to support operational efficiency

* Support and prepare the site for customer and third-party audits

We are looking for a strong people leader with a background in food manufacturing hygiene operations.

You will likely currently be working as a:

* Hygiene Manager

* Night Hygiene Manager

* Hygiene Supervisor / Lead

* Sanitation Manager within food manufacturing

Experience required:

* Proven experience in food manufacturing hygiene leadership

* Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and GMP standards

* Experience managing hygiene teams in high-volume FMCG or food production environments

* Confident managing audits and maintaining retailer-ready standards

* Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
