Summary: The head of a client behaviour provision based in Aberdare is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with a KS3 class of 7 pupils. The young adults at this school can display challenging behaviour and at times be confrontational. Pay will be based on experience but will range from £60.00 - £75.00 a day. Previous experience is desired but not essential; a sports, psychology or mental health support background can all be advantageous for the role.
The School: The Behaviour Provision or Pupil Refferal Unit, caters for pupils of secondary age that may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. Based in the heart of RCT, this school is easily accessible through public transport and has parking on arrival for those that drive.

The ideal Behaviour Support Assistant will be enthusiastic and show great behaviour management skills. You will be confident and not be fazed by challenging behaviour in the classroom. Resilience is key for succeeding in this role. You will be expected to work between 8:30am-3:30pm. The school is run by a successful team of supporting staff. Previous experience in behaviour provisions or a similar field is essential for this role.
