Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel within the construction and property projects undertaken by the company. This position is based in Central London and may require occasional travel to various project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide guidance and support to project teams, subcontractors, and employees to ensure the safe execution of work.
Assist in incident investigations and the development of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including incident reports, training records, and risk assessments.
Deliver health and safety training and inductions to employees and contractors.
Collaborate with project managers to assess risks and develop risk management strategies.
Ensure that all necessary safety equipment and protective gear are available and used correctly.
Keep up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practices.Requirements:

Prior experience in health and safety, preferably within the construction industry.
Formal health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
A valid driving license and the ability to travel to various project sites.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse workforce.
Attention to detail and the ability to conduct thorough inspections and assessments.
Problem-solving skills to identify and address potential safety concerns.
