Attendance Officer - Secondary School - Carshalton, Croydon
Location: Carshalton, Croydon
Hours: 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Long-Term, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £16 - £20 per hour based on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Carshalton, Croydon. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start, ideal for someone with previous experience in a school attendance role.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and tracking pupil attendance and punctuality on a daily basis

Following up on absences and lateness in line with school policies

Communicating with parents/carers regarding attendance concerns

Liaising with pastoral teams and external agencies as required

Maintaining accurate records and producing attendance reports

Requirements:

Previous experience working as an Attendance Officer in a school setting is essential

Strong understanding of attendance procedures and safeguarding responsibilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organised, with strong attention to detail

Confident using SIMS or other school MIS systems

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
