What You'll Do:As a Lead Applied AI Engineer, you will:

• Spearhead AI projects that enhance public service experiences.
• Write and review code daily to maintain high-quality standards.
• Guide your technical team in delivering impactful solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet real user needs.
• Establish frameworks for responsible AI development and deployment.
• Promote best practises in applied AI throughout government initiatives.
• Stay abreast of the latest AI trends and technologies.

Who You Are:We're looking for someone with:

• Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering skills.
• Experience in deploying and monitoring production-ready systems in the cloud.
• Knowledge of Large Language Models, natural language processing, and deep learning.
• A passion for creating AI products that enhance human capabilities.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Bonus Points:Experience with containerisation (Docker), AI agents, or mentoring technical teams is a plus!
