Basic salary up to £34,840 plus additional regular overtime and call-out payments- Van, Fuel card, uniform, IT equipment and test equipment will be provided

Location- Portsmouth /Havant/Waterlooville/Paulsgrove areas

Reed Recruitment are recruiting for Glaziers for our client who are an established and reputable local business with experience in providing responsive repairs and maintenance solutions to local authorities and housing associations. 

Duties will include:o    Measure for replacements glass both single- and double-glazed paneso    Fit both single pane and double-glazed paneso    Identify, replace or repair multipoint locking mechanisms, handles and hinges to both upvc and composite doorso    Replace or repair casement handles, locking mechanisms and friction stayso    Carry out minor plastic repairs including cleaning and buffing to UPVC profiles and cillso    Replace bubble or wedge gaskets and beads to both aluminium and UPVC profiles.o    Remove interior or exterior silicon sealants/trims and reseal with new trims and sealant.o    Gain entry to euro profile cylinders by drilling/snapping
•    Assessing the work requirements when you get to site.
•    Communicating with the Call Centre in an accurate and timely manner via telephone to gain each job and to update the service co-ordinators with the work you believe is required and what you have subsequently undertaken.
•    Ensuring that you follow the Company’s safe working practices and safety procedures at all times.
•    Liaising with tenants on site regarding the work you are undertaking.Qualifications & Experience:
•    Good general glazing skills and experience
•    Willing to erect and work from aluminium towers (Pasma training will be given by our client)
•    Previous experience working on social housing contracts or undertaking domestic repairs
•    Strong interpersonal skills and customer focused
•    Able to work under pressure and prioritise accordingly
•    A full, clean driving licence
