The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Supply Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Harborne from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented educator to inspire students and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons on a long-term basis. Located in the heart of Harborne, this inclusive secondary school is renowned for its supportive leadership team, strong community ethos and commitment to student progress. Role:

Long-term supply role starting September 2025

Teaching KS3 and KS4 Food Technology

Full-time position covering the full teaching responsibilities

Pay scale: M1 - M6 (£30,000 - £46,525 per annum, dependent on experience)

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students

Marking, assessment and contribution to department planning

Requirements

The successful Food Technology Teacher will have;

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

Specialism in Food Technology (or a related subject)

Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level

A genuine passion for inspiring young learners

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
