School Caretaker - Secondary School - South East London

Location: Bromley
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (Temp to Perm opportunities available)
Pay Rate: £14-£17 per hour (depending on experience)

Are you a reliable and hands-on professional looking for a vital role in a school community?
We are working with a number of well-established secondary schools in South East London seeking Caretakers to support with site maintenance, security, and health & safety compliance from September.

Key Responsibilities:
Open and close the school site, ensuring all buildings and grounds are secure
Perform basic maintenance and repairs (DIY, painting, replacing fixtures, etc.)
Manage cleaning staff and liaise with external contractors when necessary
Conduct regular checks to ensure the school meets health and safety standards
Support with school events, setting up furniture, and general site dutiesIdeal Candidate:
Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Manager, or in a facilities/maintenance role
Good DIY and practical maintenance skills
Understanding of health & safety and security procedures
Trustworthy, punctual, and able to work independently
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)Why Apply?
