Are you an experienced Building Surveyor looking to work for one of the UK's leading educational institutions with an exceptional working environment and the very best benefits package?

Are you looking for an autonomous role where you can lead projects in a state of the art estates environment with a well-funded forward thinking organsiation?

On offer is a rare chance to secure a role acting as Estate Services' client facing representative, you will liaise with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered to the required scope and within programme and budget.

Duties associated with such schemes will include preparing scheme and working drawings, specifications, contract documents, obtaining quotations or tenders and contract administration.

The post will also include identifying defects, specifying, procuring and implementing maintenance and small works, working with and supporting the Direct Works team.

Applicants should have experience in the design, financial control, administration and supervision of building projects with individual project values in the region of £200k to £1m, as well as reactive and planned maintenance and small works.

Responsibilities:

Meet clients to obtain briefs for works and provide initial cost and programme advice.
Survey work, updating building record drawings and other general building surveying duties
Provide technical advice relating to the built environment.
Act as project manager on projects typically up to £1m value, leading multi-disciplinary teams, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and external contractors.
Control project budgets, develop and maintain programmes with responsibility for delivering projects on time and to the required quality and scope.
Chair Project Working Group meetings, prepare agendas, any necessary reports and take minutes as required.
Responsible for the planned implementation of own workload, liaising with the Senior Building Surveyor and other relevant members of Estate Services.
Planning the implementation of small works, individual projects and other multi-disciplinary project programmes,
Working closely with the supervising Senior Building Surveyor, provide input into the compilation of the Long-Term Maintenance and backlog maintenance plans.The person:

Degree in Building Surveying or related construction subject
