Polytec are looking for a Quality Control Technician for our client based a few miles north of Cambridge, to support the testing and verification of incoming materials and finished products. This role plays a key part in maintaining high production standards and ensuring compliance with established procedures and quality requirements. Initially this is a 6 month fixed term contract however there may be an opportunity to extend or go permanent in due course.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct quality control inspections following approved control plans and inspection procedures.
* Perform quality checks on finished products in line with company standards
* Track, record and report quality metrics
* Develop and refine testing methods in collaboration with production and product development teams.
* Analyse product testing data to support continuous improvement
* Assist other departments with product testing and provide technical feedback
* Support quality and operational activities, including non-conformance reporting, quarantine processes, failure investigations and document control
* Maintain equipment logs, calibration schedules, service records and temperature data logs

Requirements:

* Experience with testing methods, ideally within a regulated or medical device environment
* Strong sense of accountability and ownership
* Solid technical understanding, analytical mindset and high attention to detail
* Ability to manage change within a regulated setting
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a drive for precision and quality
* Preferred: Training or experience in metrology.
